Kenneth G. Low is a member of Elmwood Park-Paterson Lodge #60, initiated on February 23, 1982 at Fair Lawn Lodge #1863.
He has served his Lodge as an Officer for 32 years and served on or chaired many committees since becoming a member.
He was Exalted Ruler in the Fraternal Year 2002-2003.
He served as Lodge Treasurer from 1986 to August 2001.
He served as Lodge Trustee from 2004 to 2014.
He has been honored as Elk of The Year, Officer of The Year, received the State President’s Commendation, the Grand Exalted Ruler’s Commendation, and won 1st Place in District Ritual Contests as Exalted Ruler, Esquire, and Inner Guard.
He was elected Vice President of the Northeast District for 2009-2010.
He was appointed District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler for 2011-2012.
He has served as District Chairmen of Auditing and Business Practices (7 years), Ritual, Hoop Shoot, and currently Soccer Shoot Committees.
He has served as Region II Chairman of the Auditing and Business Practices Committee from 2006 to 2009, and 2015 to present.
He has served as Auditor to the District Deputy for four terms.
He has been Treasurer for the Passaic County Elks Special Children’s Committee for the past three years (NJEDDA).
He has been employed in Public Accounting for the past 32 years, at Vargo P.C. since 1996. He has assisted in the preparation of Lodge Transmittal Forms, financial statements and tax returns for that entire period.
A strong financial background and a dedicated Elks history, makes him an excellent candidate for State Treasurer.
Tom Troutman of Old Bridge Elks Lodge #2229 is running for the position of New Jersey State Elks Association Treasurer. Tom has been a member of the order since 1995. Currently serving in his 8th year as Lodge Secretary, Tom served in several lodge officer positions including Exalted Ruler in 2008-2009. He was honored to have been appointed to serve as DDGER of the NJ South Central District for the 2013-2014 year. Beyond Old Bridge Lodge Tom has been involved in the Elks Hoop Shoot program in local, district, and state capacities. He is currently in his 2nd year as State Chairman of the Hoop Shoot program. Tom is also the chairman of the South Central District’s Auditing and Accounting Committee. Tom is currently employed as a Managing Auditor within the NJ State Legislature’s, Office of the State Auditor where he has worked since 1981. A graduate of Allentown College of St. Francis DeSales with a degree in Accounting and Business, Tom is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Tom is married for 31 years to Debbie and together they have 2 daughters. Thank you for your consideration.
