William W. Dow Jr., a fourth-generation Elk, has a remarkable history of commitment and leadership within the organization. Bill was exposed to the order at an early age and has never stopped contributing once becoming initiated.  From moving through the lodge chairs to serving as Exalted Ruler to serving in various important roles including Vice President and District Deputy and chairing numerous committees focusing on Special Children, Veterans, and more, Bill's contributions have been unparalleled. Bill has served as chairman on lodge, district, and state committees. 

A family man at heart, he envisions a better world for the future generations and infuses his actions with compassion and dedication. Bill's selfless efforts have not gone unnoticed, with accolades like the NJSEA Veteran Volunteer of the Year, the VFW Post 1305 Volunteer of the Year award and the Four Chaplains Award under his belt. His leadership style, emphasizing teamwork and compassion, has led his lodge to national recognition being named as All American Lodge for the last four years. By choosing Bill, you are choosing a proven winner who leads by example, inspires others, and is dedicated to making a real difference in the community and to our programs.  

Bill hopes to continue his legacy of service and impact on a state level.  He aims to elevate the organization to greater heights by increasing visibility and participation in our incredible programs. Ronald Subrizi 

Candidate for State President New Jersey State Elks Association

2025 -2026

Ronald Subrizi is a candidate for state president of the New Jersey State Elks Association. He is a member of Rutherford Lodge #547.

Ron has been married to Justine for 53 years.  She is a Past Vice President and Past District Deputy of the Northeast District. 

Ron was initiated into New Milford-Teaneck Lodge #2290 43 years ago along with his brother Dennis. 

 In 1998 he was asked to serve as chaplain for New Milford-Teaneck Lodge. That year he competed in the initiatory ritual at the Grand Lodge convention in Dallas with the officers of New Milford-Teaneck Lodge. 

 He became Exalted Ruler in 2001. When the lodge needed his help he served as Exalted Ruler again in 2010 and 2017.

Ron was elected State Trustee for 2011-2013.

He was elected Vice President for fraternal year 2013-2014 and was appointed District Deputy for 2016-2017. 

In his lodge, Ron served as membership chairman, government relations chairman, 5 year trustee and treasurer. Ron also held the position of secretary and President of the Past Exalted Rulers Association.

Ron was the district Chairman for membership, hoop shoot and parades.  In the state he was elected trustee, VP and was appointed District Deputy.

He also served as region 2 and state chairman for government relations.

He chaired the Northeast E.A.G.E.R. fund which raised monies for the incoming GER Malcom J. McPherson Jr.

Ron served as administrative assistant to two state presidents, John Szczomak and Anthony Alfonso.

His duties in that position were to prepare and distribute the State Book, organizing and running the state reorganization meeting and coordinating the reports for the state president to give to the advisory board.

Ron has been involved in the North Jersey Elks Developmental Disabilities Agency for the past 3 years and is currently the chairman of the trustees.
