Sue Dupas, PDD became a member of the BPOE when she was initiated in the Cedar Grove Lodge #2237 on February 17, 2005. Sue is married to Leon Dupas PDD for the past 16 years.
Sue has served Lodge Tiler, Leading Knight, Esquire, two terms as ER and currently serves and has held the position of Lodge Secretary for a total of eight years.
Sue has served at the Lodge on every level of participation during her 15 years of membership.
Sue has acted as Chairman and/or Co-Chairman on almost every committee and several fundraisers at the Lodge.
Sue was on the Lodge BOD and their Secretary for two years. Sue was the editor of the Lodge Newsletter for six years.
Sue has also been highly involved in committees and activities outside her lodge on a district and state level. Sue was the NCD Committee Chair on Lodge Activities for three years. Sue was the Chaperone for the State Path to Leadership Conference 2015, 2017, and 2018.
Sue is and has been the North Central District Deputy Secretary for 8 DD’s and Secretary for 10 years. Sue has been the PDD Association Chair. Sue has also been Secretary to the NCD VP’s from 2019 to present.
Sue was nominated by her peers and selected as the District Deputy for the NCD in 2017-2018.
Sue has received numerous awards for her work and dedication to the Order. Her Lodge has awarded her Officer of the Year 2008-2009 and 2013-2014. GER Outstanding Accommodation 2007-2008 and 2016-2017, and the NJ State President Award 2011-2012.
Sue is dedicated to the principles and goals of the Elks. Sue is also dependable, organized, and ready to take the position of State Secretary.

Connie Cantwell, PER
Candidate for State Secretary New Jersey State Elks Association

Connie Cantwell moved to Howell in 1983 and immediately became involved with the Howell Schools by becoming a member of the PTO and eventually becoming the PTO President leading her to work for Howell Schools Food Service Department as Kitchen Lead for 28 years which involved outstanding organizational and communication skills.
With Connie’s love for involvement and helping the community, Connie joined the Howell Elks in 1999,progressed through the Chairs starting as Lodge Chaplain and ultimately becoming Howell’s first female Exalted Ruler. Connie, along with her husband Jim, who is also a PER, continue to remain active in the Elks organization.
Connie has served Howell Lodge well and continues to serve our membership as Lodge Secretary, Chairman of Special Children’s and Government Relations Committees and serves on many of the Lodge Committees. Connie goes the extra mile to help.
Connie’s dedication to our Order has been recognized by many of our District Deputies, where she is currently serving as Secretary to the District Deputy.
Connie continues to serve the Southeast District as Secretary to the Vice President. She has served as SED Chair for Special Childrenand Elks National Foundation.
Connie served as Administrative Assistant to one NJSEA President, and has served our State Association in a number of capacities; Region 1 Chair of the Special Children’s Committee, Region 1 Chair of Miracle on the Mountain, Elks Camp Moore Trustee, and is currently Region 1 Chair for Americanism.
Connie continues to serve Howell Lodge, the SED and the NJSEA. She possesses the “right attitude”, excellent experience and knowledge necessary to be an outstanding State Secretary. She has exceptional analytical and organizational skills and an overwhelming desire to improve our State Association. Being retired, she has the time and commitment to successfully fulfill the responsibilities of the highly honored position.
