Sorry for this late message, but October and November went and so did my hard drive. In case anyone missed some events. In October there was the successful ENF Fundraiser at Trenton Lodge#105, which benefited each Lodge in the SWD, raising their per capita…….. The Flag Charge and 11:00 Toast Contest was won by Bordentown Exalted Ruler, Robert Pecht…….. The SWDVP Clinic was informative with great speakers…… State Trustee, Ed Beideman and I presented Certificates to David Scott Lewis at his Eagle Scout ceremony…… Loyal Knight Keith Buckelew from New Egypt Lodge#2457 and I attended the State Lodge Activities meeting at East Brunswick Lodge#2370 and discussed Contest B,C, & D……Also, New Egypt is in the process of starting an Antlers program…… Congratulation to Hamilton Lodge#2262 Exalted Ruler Harry Schulz for receiving the Community Charitable Organization Award from Hamilton Mayor John Bencivengo. Also in attendance was NJ Elks Special Deputy Malcom J. McPherson, Jr. and his wife Patricia. And NJ Elks State President Rusty Gerstenmeyer and his wife Mary……

In November, Hamilton Lodge hosted the annual Marine Corp Ball…… The SWD Soccer Shoot was organized by Stan Sherman, PER and hosted by New Egypt Lodge #2457….. The NJ Fall Conference was informative and fun…… All Lodges honored Veterans in November.

In December, all Lodges held Memorial Services for our recently past Members……The State Lodge Activities Committee held the judging of Contest “D” (Bulletin Contest) at New Brunswick Lodge # 324. There were approximately 25 more Lodges that participated this year as opposed to last year. Contest “C” is the Memorial Service Contest. All Lodges participated in their own Memorial Service so, please put together the “Note Book” for the Contest. The instructions are in the Lodge Activity Manual. We will be judging them at the State Lodge Activity meeting to be held at Woodbridge Lodge on Monday, February 6, 2012. I WILL BE ON VACATION THE WEEK BEFORE SO, I WANT ALL LODGES CONTEST “C” BOOKS BY JANUARY 25,2012.

In January, coming up, 1/14/12- SWD Hoop Shoot, at Ridgeway School, 300 Delanco Rd, Edgewater Twp, NJ 08010. Please come and help…… At night, Hamilton Lodge is having their SCC Party….. 1/15/12- The State Soccer Shoot will be held at Ridgefield Park…….1/18/12-SWD Scholarship judging will be held at New Egypt Lodge….. 1/19/12- 5 Committees will be meeting at Edgewater Park Lodge…..1/26/12- SWD Parade meeting will be held at Bordentown Lodge, 7:30PM……1/27/12- SWD Lodge Activity meeting will be held at Hamilton Lodge. Important information on Conventions.

In February, coming up,2/6/12- State Lodge Activity judging for Contest “C” (Memorial Book) at Woodbridge Lodge…., SWD ENF meeting at Trenton Lodge….2/8/12, -All SWD YAC Roast tickets must be turned in…..2/12/12-State Hoop Shoot will be held at So. Plainfield H.S.-125 Jackson St.(?)….1/18/12- SWD YAC Roast will be held at Hightstown Lodge.....1/26/12-SWD Ritual winner (Bordentown Lodge) will perform the State ritual Contest at Lynhurst Lodge.
